Misery loves company. . .

That's why so many of us were in Body Pump Class at noon today. I always seems that everyone is dragging, not just me. I think we're still hung over and trying desperately to alleviate some of the guilt from the sins of the weekend. I hate to break it to you, but exercise isn't going to cure the guilt of that guy you made out with, but it sure will help you feel better about all that cheese. And, it just might put some life back into you, kind of like a bloody Mary! Yeah, you can cure that hangover with a little hair of the dog, or a good workout. Most of us pick the first one, which only leaves us feeling bad again the next day. It's a vicious cycle.

I recreated a recipe to use up some very ripe bananas. I think it's a muffin that just might cure the muffin top!

Ingredients:
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup all bran
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 mashed ripe bananas
1/2 cup skim milk
1 large egg
2 tablespoons apple sauce
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries

Mix all ingredients together, pour into muffin pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray and bake at 400 degrees for about 30 minutes, or until knife comes out clean.

What's up with all those new bran products anyway. I mean, you can buy anything with bran in it. It's good that we can get our fiber so easily these days, but is it just me, or do those things give you really bad cramps, almost immediately?
