I feel gross! Not only did I not make it to the gym today, but we had two big company meetings. . . one at breakfast and one at lunch. So I had to eat hotel food for two meals. I tried to be good, but buffets are never really good because for one you don't know how the food is prepared, and two they tend to be breeding grounds for bacteria. People don't always practice safe food serving techniques, so they touch things, etc. I tried to go through the line early, but it doesn't always work that way. Let's just say my tummy isn't feeling all that good.
To top it off, I'm exhausted and I'm making a pumpkin chocolate chip cheesecake for a United Way auction. Funny how I'm always volunteering for this stuff, then when the time comes it's always a bad day for it. Cheesecake takes so long to make. I doubled the recipe, so it will take a total of at least an hour and a half to bake. God, I just want to go to bed!
I wanted to eat something super healthy tonight, so I made a quick stir fry with stir fry veggies, shrimp, fresh mushrooms, a little sherry, brown sugar, and soy sauce. It wasn't bad, but guess I just wasn't in the mood. Do you ever get burnt out on veggies? I need a new veg. Gotta kick it up or I'll get in a rut and go back to my evil non-veggie eating ways.
I'll hit the gym hard tomorrow and I'll feel much better!
