Eat out or go to the gym. . . hmmmm

For a split second I thought I'd chose lunch when my friend Kristi and I were heading to the gym, but for that one hour we would be enjoying our lunch and kicking ourselves for the rest of the day. We made the right choice. It can all go bad in a split second. Don't let those last-minute temptations get to you.

Trust me, I was completely exhaused since I had to start my day about an hour early, and I am so not a morning person. Since I got started earlier than normal and had to travel out of town this morning, I didn't have time for breakfast or even coffee till about 10:30! I can't even believe I made it through the morning.

I scarfed down a couple of toaster waffles before the gym, since I rolled back into town about 15 minutes before class. There was no way I was hitting Body Pump without breakfast or lunch. I do not skip meals. Food is my life! While I'm eating one meal I'm usually thinking about the next! It probably wouldn't hurt me to miss a few meals. . . but I did tend to snack a bit more than usually later in the day. I tried to keep it healthy. . . a piece of cheese, an apple, then I ate some baked jax and baked chips. Yes, they were baked but still not the healthiest choice. I should just avoid buying those. Actually, they were left over from my son's birthday party.

Fortunately, I had some leftover "Spoof Bourgignon" from last night, so I didn't have to think too much about dinner tonight. Monday's are long. My son crashed early and I'm not far behind. I don't think I'll make it to the end of Dancing with the Stars. Oh well.
