That's dedication!

That's dedication! I got off a plane at 5 p.m. and was in body pump class at 5:30. I'm pretty impressed with myself. I would much rather have taken a nap or gone out for something sinful to eat. Body pump never really gets any easier. It pretty much sucks every time. At least I feel good after. And I know I'm not going to turn into a flabalanche. At least not today. Or any more than I already am.

Traveling can be tough on the diet, but I tried to be good. The snacks on the plane were mostly junk. I stuck to some healthy almonds and a bottle of water. Dinner was at an Irish pub. It wasn't my choice. I had what they claimed was one of their healthy options. Seafood with a light wine sauce over angel hair pasta. Of course, they never specified what the criteria were for the healthy options. I guess most people eating at a pub aren't really all that concerned with that.

I always have good intentions of going to the gym, when I travel. Usually I do, but I didn't this time. Maybe the couple of glasses of wine I had sapped my motivation. That's why I forced myself to get to the gym immediately after getting off the plane. Even before I had a chance to go home! Even before eating! I almost always eat before going to the gym. It really sucks to work out when you're hungry, I think. But, I've read that exercising before eating burns more fat, so I probably should do it but I'd probably pass out!

So lunch was ordered for us today, and it was chicken parmesan. It was actually home made, and looked really good. I just cut off the breading and took off the cheese, so it was basically just chicken. Thankfully, they had a nice big green salad, so I ate lots of that.

I am going to cook again. Really. I ate a Healthy Choice mediteranian pasta dish for dinner, which was really good. And for a nice healthy snack, spinach with garlic. Those bags of veggies that you can steam and eat make great snacks in the evening when you just want to eat something and you're tempted my high-fat snack.

Well, I'm getting to bed because, as always, I'm planning to get up and run in the morning. I probably won't get up in time, but that's the plan. Always the plan.
