Guess I missed that last part for the longest time. I've just been eating (and drinking) everything.
I do have to say that when I focus on eating healthy, it's really, really good! I had friends over and we had blueberry, vanilla martinis. Here's how to make them:
1 cup frozen blueberries
3/4 cup vanilla vodka
3/4 cup water
1 packet sugar substitute
Funny, that's not so unlike my breakfast of a blueberry banana smoothie:
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 banana
1 cup skim milk
1 packet sugar substitute
We also had an amazing sweet potato soup:
1 20 oz. can sweet potatoes
1 15 oz. can light coconut milk
1 32 oz. can fat free chicken stock
1 Tablespoon curry
1 tsp. chili pepper
salt/pepper
Bring to boil and puree.
And sauteed shrimp and scallops in 1 tsp olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, and fresh chives and rosemary.
So, you really can entertain and eat/drink healthy!
I guess the alcohol isn't really all that good for you, but at least the blueberries are and we're not adding all that sugar, etc. in the mixers.
I think the weekends and entertaining are the hardest part about trying to loose weight. Getting in the fruit and water is tough too. I mean common', there's water in wine, right? And, doesn't wine count as fruit? So, eight glasses of wine a day is actually good for you, right?
Tomorrow will be a challenge. Going to Wing Wah Restaurant. It' hard to be good there. I'll have to stick to steamed veggies and shrimp cocktail. We all need to stick together on the weekends. WWJD (What would Jillian Do?)
